Daniel has extensive experience in the agency environment since 2016 - from his first steps as a working student to managing a five-person SEO team. Matthias Hotz, Tech SEO Expert & Fullstack Developer

Matts started building websites in the late 90's and spent 10 years at a US Fortune 500 company where he was responsible for the global websites. In 2010 he moved to 1&1 and was first Frontend Architect and then Head of Frontends for the order lines (DSL, mobile and hosting). At 1&1 he started building SEO tools . As he was tired of constantly having to deal manually with unexpected SEO problems such as missing canonical tags, incorrectly set noindex instructions or URLs that were not captured, he quickly developed the first SEO check and his own small SEO crawler to ensure quality in an automated way.
In 2014, he moved to One Advertising AG in Munich, where he focused on technical SEO, page performance and the development of enterprise SEO tools. As Head Of Technical SEO, he was responsible for the employee mentoring program, looked after various clients (including BMW, Allianz, E.ON, Thalia) and introduced a comprehensive technical SEO reporting.
Matts is a full-stack developer and is considered one of the smartest tech SEOs in the German-speaking region. He can not only provide advice, but also directly assists in the actual development of software. Over the past 10 years, he has been a speaker at SMX, SEODAY and SEOkomm in Salzburg on several occasions. He is also known in the SEO scene for his legendary SEORCH SEO tools, some of which he even offers to the public as a free service.
He complements the founding team with his inexhaustible ingenuity in solving complex technical edge cases and easily explains even extremely tricky technical issues to his customers and colleagues. Markus
Markus Walter, Strategic SEO Expert

Markus has been involved with SEO since 2007 - at that time there was only one forum on this topic in Germany. Since then, he has experienced the development of the industry at first hand and actively helped to shape it. He has contributed his expertise both as an in-house SEO in large corporations and in management roles at renowned agencies. After studying business informatics, Markus started his career as a generalist online marketing employee - but even then, SEO held a special fascination for him (even though SEO was much simpler back then: H1, title, backlinks = done). This enthusiasm remains with him to this day.
During his time as an in-house SEO, including at ProSiebenSat.1 and 1&1, Markus gained valuable experience in not only implementing SEO effectively from a technical perspective, but also anchoring it strategically and communicatively in the company in the long term. He skillfully navigates the area of tension between different hierarchical levels and departments and knows exactly how and with whom he needs to speak at each stage in order to implement SEO in the long term. Thanks to his strategic skills, he knows how to position and promote SEO at both operational and management level.
After eleven years in the in-house world, Markus decided to switch to the agency sector in order to gain even deeper insights into a wide variety of business models and to provide individual consulting services to companies from different industries. He took over responsibility for the SEO division with over 20 employees, which he strategically developed and successfully expanded as Head of SEO.
